All items purchased from The Book Shack within the UK will be shipped via 2nd class postage with Royal Mail. Items can take 2-4 days to arrive after dispatch within the UK. Our postage costs start from £1.55

International Standard Shipping Policy

We offer International Standard shipping for customers worldwide via royal mail. This is an untracked, lower-cost option. By selecting this method at checkout, the customer accepts full responsibility for any potential loss or the need for re-shipment with tracking.

This option is offered as a goodwill gesture to help reduce international shipping costs, and we trust our customers to approach it with the same level of honesty and respect.

If your package does not arrive, please contact us at thebookshack23@outlook.com to discuss your order. In cases where customs issues arise, we reserve the right to wait up to 21 days for the package to be returned to us.

Important: If more than one order fails to reach its destination, you will no longer be eligible for the untracked shipping option on future purchases.

International Delivery Times

We aim for worldwide delivery to be completed within 6-7 working days. However, please note that delivery can sometimes take a bit longer than this. We recommend taking international shipping times into account when placing your order.

Approximate shipping times:

UNITED KINGDOM: 2-3 DAYS

EUROPE: 3-5 DAYS​

WORLDWIDE: 5-7 DAYS

NOTICE: Depending on Customs and the courier service in your home country we cannot guarantee delivery dates but this is from recent experience. Delivery Days may extend around seasonal festivities.

 

INTERNAIONAL ORDERS

Now that the United Kingdom has left the European Union, customers outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties and taxes levied by their respective countries.

These charges are out of our control and are the responsibility of the customer. Please check your local customs policies to understand the specific duties and taxes that may apply. 

These charges may be in the form of but are not limited to VAT, Import Duties and Custom Charges. 

This means that depending on the country you are ordering from, You may need to pay extra charges in the form of VAT or Import Duties to your local Post Office before receiving your order. Your Courier Service or Customs office will generally notify you by telephone, email, courier app, card through your door etc about paying these charges.

 NOTICE: By placing an order with The Book Shack, you acknowledge and accept that you are solely responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees imposed by your country's customs authorities. Please consult with your local customs office or tax authority for detailed information. 

 

Lost or Damaged Shipments: In the unlikely event that your order is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us on thebookshack23@outlook.com within 7 days of receiving your order. We will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
